Are we the castaways
upon our own sordid insolence and vanity
and our incessant silence
upon ethical ambiguity?
Do we indifferent our eyes
upon salacious impropriety
since we stagger, stumble, teeter and trample
upon retracted opportunity?
For is not this sacred as
upon the constancy of accountability
if we to even hope
to make our way home?
